My very first eyelash extension's experience.

Hi Everyone,

My cherry was popped yesterday!! Well .. in a way ... sort of .. ha ha

I had my very first eyelash extension yesterday. Actually, I had quite a few friends who raved about it and been trying to talk me into one sometimes ago but I declined to do any harsh decision. The reason was.. it feel quite dangerous, doing anything so close to the eyes, right?

I did quite a bit of internet researched after that and decided not to do it because of how high maintenance and how pricey the method was going to cost me.

I did my calculated roughly, for example, if I decided to go to N..... shop,

the procedure going to cost me :

1,400 HKD for the first time
880 HKD for the touch up

So it'll stay roughly around one month each time.. i'll need to pay over 2,000 HKD within 2 months for something pretty which will not going to stay with me forever.  So, if I do it 1 years, I can spend this amount for a really nice bag... well, bag really sound better. Don't you think so?

But things changed 3 days ago, when I saw a young lady at the gym's locker room. Her eyelash looked very magnificent, thick, curly, natural and very beautiful. I literary can't look away (now, I come to think about it, she definitely going to think that I'm a freaky old bat.. Grrrrr!!!). After finish ogled her, I was debated with myself whether should I asked her where she got the extension. At the end, I decided not to. For sake of my safety, why?, the risk asking would possibly coz me a bitch slap.

Anyway, while on the train to go home, I did mobile searching and found a cheaper option from www.sassyhongkong.com . --> http://sassyhongkong.com/eyelash-extensions-the-hk-insiders-place/

I really want to take this opportunity to thanks Danielle who written the blog "THANK YOU, Danielle. You really did something good here". And found a very interesting post about a hideout place for local Hong Kong to do the last and the price is soo cheap... How cheap? 660 HKD for 3 session cheap, THAT kind of cheap.

I waste no time and dial my booking right away. Turn out, Í was very impressive that the reception can speak English very well!!. And I got my booking yesterday at 11 am.

I had no problem finding the place as it was super easy access from the MTR station (will explain the way at the end). When I reach the place, I was so surprised just how many peoples were there. It was so cramped with (beauty kind of) beds (sorry, I really don't know, how it called) every corner and so close together. It was almost no space to walk, just like what was explained in the post. Yep, it's literary, no private here. Most of the customers were Chinese and I saw few westerner lying around did the extension as well.

No more hesitation, I took my leap of faith and decided to go along with this all the way.

After I confirmed my name and phone number, the beautician ushered me to a bed in the very end of the back room. She started with cleaning my eye's area then stick some tape on my right eye and did the extension after she asked what kind of extension, I preferred. There's no pain in the process but it gave me unease feeling for me too. The beauticians are quite loud and talkative to each other, which was fore-warned from the blog.

Well, after finish with both eyes, 1.15 hrs. had passed. I saw my eyelash and really love it. And decided to buy 3 sessions package which cost 750 HKD (instead of 660 HKD that the post mention). After that it took a day for me to get used to with the feeling of having this new lashes.. it's a bit heavy at first, anyway.

One thing for sure, I like to go to the mirror and checked my eyes.. stupid, I know .. ha ha ha but I really can't help myself though... I have no idea, how can I live without any extension from now on.

Last night, one lash was drop off and one this morning. Now, let see how long, they're going to stay with me. And I'll update later, ok?

My conclusion
The up side of this are ..
1. My eye looked rounder and the lashes are thicked and curled nicely which, in my opinion, made me look sweeter.
2. It will definitely save my time to curl, eyeliner and mascara plus cleaning process too!

The down side of this are..
1. I have to be very careful not to close my eyes too tight (like sneezing) because the action totally made me feel like something poked inside of my lower lash area.
2. I have to be very careful not to wash my face too harsh. Because I am afraid the lashes will fall off faster.

There're rules about the extension
1. don't rub your eyes
2. don't use any oil-based cleanser
3. don't use eyelash curler on the extension
4. don't try to take the extension off by yourself

Here's the place..
